À propos de cet audio

This isn’t a romance. This isn’t happily-ever-after. This is a mystery. And, like me, it’s pretty messed up.

Detective Gray Dulac is in freefall: a disfiguring injury; a crumbling relationship; a slowly imploding career. But there’s a kind of clarity to it all. A detachment. A way of being in the world when you can’t screw things up any more than you already have.

When he stumbles across a wounded young man outside a party, though, Gray is struck by the similarities between their injuries, and he discovers he might not be as detached as he thought. The case falls under the jurisdiction of the sheriff’s office, but Gray can’t seem to leave it alone, and he continues to investigate even after being told to stop.

The only problem is that everyone, including the victim, is lying to him. And when the young man turns up dead, Gray finds himself at the top of the list of suspects and racing to find the real killer—and the truth. Because better than anyone, Gray knows that truth is a broken mirror.

And the edges are sharp enough to cut.

I would never have expected this in a million years. It was dark, it was action packed, and at times, heartbreaking, with an end to bring it all together and put the heart back together.

Greg Tremblay slayed this.

Holy Moly!!

When audible sent me a notification about a new book from Gregory Ashe and I realized that the main character of the book was Gray Dulac, I bought it in the next second : I was glad to be able to follow this character that we lost sigh in the last books ( iron on iron). After 6 weeks, I started to listen to it and remembered that Gray Dulac was not an easy likable character. But this book touched me so much and gave me clarity on this character but on myself too.
Thank you M. Ashe to be an incredibile writer.
Even if i m not that happy about the end,
Even if I wanted more of Emery in this book, the chapter where Gray went and saw JH for the first time after a year is everything.
I Hope that we will be able to read a following story about Gray and Darnell (please, pretty please)

Gray Dulac
