Bleak dreams are made of this...

The battle of Hammon's Bog is over. The town is free, the undead destroyed, the Witches slain, and the surviving villagers are picking up the remains of their lives. Despite his scars and constant nightmares, Brin is doing his best to move on from the battle against the undead. He's looking to the future, but his past might not be done with him yet.

Story:
Characters are as funny as ever, MC starts to learn and experiment with magic properly which is interesting, but by the end of the book, he still remains a kid that can't fight without a chaperone. This whole series starts to feel like YA and it will end when MC finally reaches adulthood

I'd still love the excellent narrator still reading it for us with acting all the different voices. What I think that could've done better is that when the main character playing the song Hurt by Johnny Cash I wish there was actually a music playing in the background to feel the moods and ambiance of the story build up it was a very touching moment thank you. Looking forward for the next book I love it.

this book has an excellent magic system, a good explanation of how skills and levels work, it does not have overly long stat sheet exposition, keeps battles exciting.

This is my first Isekai series, and honestly, I am LOVING it! it's well written, has good characters, the pacing of the books are done well and the pacing of the *series* is also done well. And to top it off, it has a great narrator! I've listened to it twice so far and have caught up with the series on Royal Road, and you can bet that I'll be buying the next audio book as soon as it's available!
