This series of books had me permanently grinning, with regular interruptions of reflexive snorts and out loud gales of laughter! Seriously funny and surprisingly insightful take on society and the fallout of the Apocalypse. Never mess with the librarian. I'm buying more books in the series as soon as they're available.

I love this franchise, and Phil Thron does an outstanding job bringing all the characters to life.

Three great tales

A great satire that turns into a cringy one trick pony. As the books procede, the characters turn more and more into two dimensional stereotypes that can be compared to pictures on a box of cereal.
3 books for price of one is still good, but I can guarantee that by the end of the third book your eyes will get tired from rolling up and you will be saying "OH FOR THE LOVE OF....I GET IT!!!" a lot.

Jerry is a post-apocalyptic Warrior. in the first tail he hears himself a bit of a reputation, and the second tail that comes back to bite him and in the third tail it sets him up for what I assume are the fourth and fifth books although they all stand alone and could be read separately.

The narrator does a very good job and in my mind has become the voice of this series. I enjoy the humor as well as the interplay of the characters.

I don't know what to say this has to be by far one of the best books I've read up-to-date. The story is both brilliant and compelling I just have to know what happens next. Big props to the narrator Phil Thron for delivering an amazing performance. I couldn't get enough.

So good, I'm surprised it's not a movie yet.

Bought on a whim, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the series. It felt far more realistic as a post-apocalyptic world then many books with unstoppable protagonists. Best likened to the how our last three years didn’t resemble a virus-driven zombie video game.

Awesome series, highly recommended, between the banter about the word moist and a amazing dog sidekick what was not to like! also Tolerance sounds like a living hell..

Hilarious!

Good guys do finish last , when all is gone one good guy is there to save us all and he is not who you would expect. The whole series is well written and hilarious and is not the apocalypse you maybe were expecting. Even a mushroom cloud has a silver lining but if you go to Dallas you must bring Cash. Who knew that reading about the end of things could really cheer you up on a rainy day.

Excellent narration engages you in the story.
This is not a deep story, but it is fun and easy to listen to. Worth the price of admission.
