À propos de cet audio
I have one rule: Never date a baseball player. But when I meet the sexiest single dad to ever play professional ball, that rule becomes impossible to obey.
It’s not easy being a woman working in a male dominated field. Add in the fact that my uncle owns the baseball team I work for, and proving I belong here is a constant battle. Dating a player was never an option. Not if I wanted to keep a shred of dignity and respect. Then Ronan Sinclair sits down next to me in first class with his alluring blue eyes and hard-to-resist dimples. To say nothing of his kindness and charm, or his determination to convince me that a steamy vacation fling is what we both need.
So, I give in to temptation, just this once. After all, he plays on the opposite side of the country, and he makes it clear he doesn’t want anything more than a few hot nights under the Hawaiian sun. We’ll leave this tropical paradise with nothing more than memories. Fate has a different plan, however. My vacation fling has just been traded to the Vancouver Tridents. My team. Now, Ronan is back in my life, making it clear he’s here not only to play ball…He’s here to convince me that some rules are meant to be broken.

Cheesy but sexy
Remember in “Throw Momma From The Train” (1987) and Billy Crystal’s character is teaching creative writing at community college? An older woman is reading her thriller set on a submarine but just talks about pushing big red buttons (or some such), and Billy explains that it’s better to write about what you know. This is like that: sexy but the writer has no effen clue about baseball. Our handsome player is explaining how baseball is broken into “halfs” and they eke out a “one point win.” And I swear he had a “32” batting average? WUT.
Looking past all that, the two narrators have very sexy voices and the romance is both steamy and at times, rather sweet. A junior media exec for the Vancouver Tridents pro baseball team meets an Ontario ball player who is super handsome; they share a flight to Hawaii and flirting turns to fun…and then he disappears, because he’s a single dad and he rushes home when his little girl gets hurt at preschool.
Months go by and no contact aside from a sext or three, until hunky ball player is traded to Vancouver! Now our sexy heroine needs to remain professional and not bang the talent…but these two cannot resist each other.
At times hokey, at times hot AF, this is a fun little time-killer with a cutely sappy ending.
