This is the second book I've read from this author and once again, I loved it. The character of Brit-Marie grows on you from irritating to endearing. This narrator is one of my favorites as well.

it's a bit of a slow start but if you get through the beginning it gets really good. I loved the ending.

Once again Fredrik Backman gives us a lead character who is both so normal and exceptional at the same time. The story brings you in until you care and are interested in the character. Britt Marie, with all her faults, elevates the story. And the secondary characters are also allowed to shine. #Audible1

I don't think this book would have been as good had I read it, the narrator IS Britt-Marie. I'm a big Fredrik Backman fan and like his others this one did not disappoint.

Brit-Marie is a fabulously flawed and desperately wounded character. She finds her self only in ways that this specific author knows how to subtly bring her about. Fascinating, warm and endearing. I recommend.
