I loled the story

The female narrator dragged down the overall rating. I really wanted to finish this audiobook because I adore Sebastian York as a narrator but the overly dramatic narration of Kit Swan makes it 'audibly cringey' for me. It's atypical for me to give a bad review but she really needs to tone down her overdramatization and not sound like she's trying way too hard. Sebastian York is a pro at this but IMO he should've been paired with a different female narrator who can complement his performance. The story is mediocre - or perhaps it's lackluster for me because the narration tainted the audio experience.

I selected this book based on An author and the male narrator I liked and have listened to before . I give such a low rating based on how poor the female narrator was and the story sounded like it was written in 1990! Skip the whole mess - oh you don’t hear the female narrator until you purchase ! Grrrr
