This book covered a very heavy matter which actually had me crying a few times. But the ending had me cry laughing.

This book was definitely a tear jerker. They dove right into the heavy stuff. Trigger warning for self harm. And death. But definitely a good listen. I love the narrators.

Ok that wasn’t fair. Within the first 3 chapters I was practically sobbing. Could have used a warning!
Most emotional book ever.
Loved how the narrators were able to find different voices for all the characters and the emotion in their performances was so intense! Brought to tears over and over. I appreciated the representation and care taken to depict different members of the queer community as well as the struggles of mental health. Well done ❤️

I like a darker book, but this didn't quite work.

I was invested in the relationship but as soon as the spicy times happened, that was ALL they had in common. there wasn't much of a love connection, so I was no longer invested in the frustrating constant back and forth of "I want you but I can't have you"

the end was particularly disappointing. it was like once they figured out their relationship, all of their problems were fixed. I know it's fiction and it doesn't need to be fully realistic but jeez. tadaaaa, no more problems!!! sure ...

one other big gripe I have is: Elliot wears feminine clothing...which would be fine if it was ever brought up except as a prop for spicy times. he barely talked about it, or his identity. Asher never really referenced it except in bed. very gross.
