Mattie Cobb and Robo are great
I've now completed my 4th installment of the series. I quite enjoy this K9 team spin on various cases, as I haven't read/listened to a human/dog team perspective to solve crime. Decent character development, though it is getting a little less believable with so many terrible things happening to the same characters. If it was a TV show, the repetitive tradgedies amungst the same characters would be completely acceptable, so I digress. The stories are still well thought out and the characters loveable. I find each book pulls me in, and I have a hard time waiting to hear what happens next. I have gasped in public or found myself questioning some of the choices of characters, so I know I'm fully invested. There are still questions I want answers to, so I'll probably continue following along for a bit longer.
I do think the voice actor sounds a bit like she's got a stuffy nose, but for some reason, it adds a feeling of "innocence" to Mattie and Cole. An intelligent couple who see terrible things, juggle multiple tasks, and handle difficult situations daily, but blush and jump to thoughts of forever and marriage after a few kisses and hand holding.

This series is 🔥
Fantastic storyline, believable characters and action. Definitely recommend this series as binge-worthy. Hard to put this book down!

Exciting plot & narration shift?
Most of this series is narrated by the same voice, but in this book the first half sounded very automated & normal again about halfway through.
Plot itself is enjoyable, lots of fun new info for the underlying ghost plot in these books.
