For the most part, this book held my attention. However, I do think the part of the book that occurs in the heroine's home town was longer than it needed to be. The sex scene after the heroine reveals her secret to the hero wasn't fitting. It was cringe in that it didn't fit the emotional realities of the issue presented. This is unfortunate since the rest of the book was fairly well written. The narration was good. It added context to the emotional layering within the book.
