Description

Sprung from their hugely successful podcast Canadianity, Taggart (that guy from that band) and Torrens (that guy from that show) share a collection of showbiz tales from the road and relatable everyday anecdotes, all wrapped up in a nostalgic fondness for this great country. Canadianity takes listeners on a cross-country journey, shining the spotlight on notable local heroes (or bahds), the best places to crush food and the greasiest watering holes, coast to coast to coast.

Replete with lists of Canada's top bands, television shows and athletes as well as random observations about everything this country has to offer, Canadianity is often provocative and always hilarious. Drawing on their combined experiences as a legendary drummer (Our Lady Peace) and a veteran talk-show host (Jonovision) respectively, Taggart and Torrens have infused their first book with equal parts beer and pop culture and added a heaping helping of irreverence.

Cool Canucks

This is an entertaining listen. T & T both seem like good guys through and through. However, it’s very much a who’s who of Canadian entertainers. And if you’re a diehard fan of either Our Lady Peace or Trailer Park Boys, it would be exponentially more entertaining.

One that if you are Canadian will make you want listen more than once!

I listened to this more than once! I related to So much. I have to admit one first listen I ended up skipping to my home area are listened to that chapter first but if you have done any travel in the country it’s extra enjoyable but quite honestly it’s a truly universal Canadian experience :) and travel guide. #Audible1 favourite book I have ever purchased!

Taggart and Torrens can spin a heck of a yarn!

Truly enjoyable! A light perspective on our beautiful country!!
Full story lines with anecdotes presented a pace that ties the entire country together!
Feels as though T&T are with us on our piece of Canada telling stories by the bonfire watching a Canadian Sunset over the trees!
True Buds!

A lovely listen, with a few hiccups

I loved listening to this book- Taggart and Torrens really have an interesting love for Canada. I think it'd be great in book form, as the frequent list-games (like "Lake or Fake?") would be easier to follow along with if you could look up to see what numbers 3, 14, 16 and 17 were rather than having to replay and remember them all. Also, I think the audiobook could've used finer editing, as there were a few repeated phrases where they left in two different takes on the same line. That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed their storytelling and the comedic tone of the book. Totally would recommend!

Podcast fans will enjoy.

Taggart and Torrens at their best. Fans of the podcast should definitely give it a listen. Great stories from every corner of the country.

A few minor editing mistakes but no biggie.

Very entertaining tales of two Canadian legends

D'accord guys, this was enjoyable from start to finish. the varying narration styles of Jeremy and Jonathan made for a good pace. these two bahds need to do more books and narration.
