Such a great perspective of the civil war, and interesting to see both sides (or what they might have thought their sides were) of such a historical conflict. The courage and heartbreak and every emotion kept me listening. I thought the narrator was a wonderful match for all of the characters voices and stories. This story will challenge and grow your faith.

This book was written so well as I was listening to it I could put myself in the Civil War and imagine what it must have been like. I could not stop listening to it an absolutely incredible book..
