Man, did I ever dive into this one. I was hooked right out the gate, and it did not let me go until The Last Story. It just builds and builds: tension, empathy, heartbreak, and Brockway sprinkles in humour exactly where it's needed, whether to alleviate or accentuate tension. The narrator was perfectly suited for this novel. Give it a listen (or a read). You will not be disappointed.

If you like epic novels about apocalyptic events this book is for you! It’s very unique, almost like multiple novellas that come together in the end. Love that about it actually. The story is exciting, I couldn’t stop listening. The narrator was perfect, I laughed out loud a few times. Scary, funny, charming, often a bit gory, heartfelt. It’s great, listen to it.
