What happened to Brigitte Berthold?

I can’t express how amazing this story was! I highly recommend! Romance, heartbreak, a little thrill, and the true bond of trust that is all intertwined to leave the ready at the edge of their seat.

loved it but religious aspect unnecessary. distracting. Second novel I have read by this author and will hesitate to read other works by this author as a result.

Has to be one of my favourite listens ever. I couldn’t stop, my jaw dropped at times with the unexpected twists. I couldn’t guess the ending, right up until it happened. Your heart will be hooked on these characters as if they were your own family, and the narrator was so pleasant to listen to - I especially noticed her skill at creating multiple voices, even men, convincingly and smooth. It’s the perfect blend of all things ww2 without overwhelming the reader or the feeling of exaggeration. So good!!
