I enjoyed this story. The author did a reasonably good job making two people from such different socioeconomic backgrounds fit pretty well. I loved seeing how these two generally confident women helped shore up each other's insecurities. That said, the narrator doesn't really do different voices which was confusing for this particular book and while her way of speaking suited the banter in the book, I found it too flippant in the serious parts. It's too bad. I won't be buying the other books in this trilogy as a result, which is too bad as Cat's book fits more tropes I enjoy according to iheartsapphfic.com. I just bought this one as I was in the mood for a doctor as one of the protagonists.
