©2021 Marie James (P)2023 TantorLegend: I really wish they hadn’t used the same FMC narrator for all but the last few books. And I also wish that most of the women weren’t so wishy-washy. The foster child trope is so done! The strong, independent woman who uses bitchiness to show her strength is also done. Faith tells Legend to “get lost, we’re not having sex; get lost the sex we had was a once of” then come save/comfort me with sex. For god’s sake ! Another woman who needs to be alone so walks off on her own to get kidnapped by her stalker. Legend was great, patient, loving honest with himself and her. Why can’t authors write FMC’s like they write MMC?

Book 2 Thumper. This story was a turn off. It was a nice change of pace in the storyline but then quickly disappointed. Surprised Marie James wrote such an unrealistic FBI process with a captive.
Book 3 Apollo. The 2nd person from this cult family is such a turn off. Totally regretting purchasing this series. Totally disappointing. April, is just... gross and such an annoying character.
Book Legend. Chapters are out of order!!!! Chapter 5 jumps to 7. Chapter 6 discovered later follows chapter 21. SMH!
Faith is a ridiculous character! A lawyer who lacks confidence? Wishy washy, playing games, she's so judgemental, she's selfrighteous, and totally annoying. Her stubbornness is why she ends up where she ends up...she is the only one to blame.
Narrator Kasha takes such hard swallows reading Thumper and Appolo, it actually comes thru loudly during her read, its quite distracting. Aaron is the only reason the performance its a 3 star.
Waste of money. Chapters out of order!
