The delegates—or as Kirill thought of them, “The Seven Deadly Sins”—were not people who had brought happiness into the world. For the sake of his own survival and longevity, he had to remain on guard for the entire duration of the conference. Some periods in life are quite literally life-or-death moments, and this conference would be a long series of such moments.
Human Asset Management was the Corporation’s description for the illegal human trafficking trade. The number of Assets was expected to exceed 30 million, encompassing a diversity of categories from every country on the planet—men, women, and children of all ages.
They would be allocated to businesses and residences across every sector of the global economy.
The Agency had been created in secret and funded by shell companies to protect the anonymity of its members. The Director was struggling to juggle both the budgets and the morale within the Agency—and he desperately needed a break. He was ever the optimist and, although not a religious man, prayed occasionally for help in any way, shape, or form.
Then, Max was found alive on a waste dump, carrying with him clues from the past.
A prayer had been answered—and now, the chase was on!
