À propos de cet audio
Will Prince Atul be able to guard what matters most?
When an exiled Kashgar prince seeks refuge in their land, Prince Atul agrees to dispatch emissaries to Kashgar. Yet, in a sinister declaration of war, the emissaries return lifeless, carried by a ship draped in shadows.
Determined to restore the exiled prince to the throne, Prince Atul travels to Kashgar with the intention of rooting out the rebels. When he arrives, Prince Atul is prepared to wage war against men. Instead, he encounters an arcane land of curses and spells. How does he defeat what he does not understand? Especially when he hears mysterious voices urging him to protect a girl he has never met—a girl named Sugandha.
Dive into a world of intrigue, where battles are waged not just in steel but in the ethereal whispers of magic. Fans of medieval India, enthralling royal intrigues, the dance of destiny, and gripping action will discover a captivating new series to embrace in Prophesied Prince.
©2024 Anna Bushi (P)2024 Podium AudioThis was such a fast-paced and immersive story! I loved how it took me on a trip through medieval India. It was not only the food descriptions (which I LOVED), but also the rituals, decorations, and mindset of the people that brought the story to life. There were no info-dumps, and almost every chapter ended on a cliffhanger. Finally, the main characters were relatable and their internal conflict compelling.
I listened to the audiobook. The female narrator was a captivating storyteller skilled at conveying emotions. The male narrator's voice, in comparison, was a bit stiff with the same intonation to every sentence, but I still enjoyed his performance, especially when he gave voice to the Fake Prince (a child). My favorite relationship in this story is between Atul and the Fake Prince
I only wish that the mystery surrounding Suganda had not dragged on so long. Her escape from one place to another began to feel repetitive. I felt like the ending should've happened at the midpoint, with the plot pivoting to a new direction (spoiler) after Atul and Suganda finally finallllllyyyy meet.
All the same, I am eagerly awaiting the next book to see what happens to Suganda and Atul!
A fast-paced and immersive story!
