Brandon Marks just moved into the Driver household. Fitting into a place like Foxtail Falls when you’re a seventeen-year-old foster kid is harder than it seems. Fixated on a local urban legend, Brandon and his newfound friend, Stone, hatch a plan to uncover the mystery of the baby on Strawberry Hill. Their obsession with the property only gets more intense when Stone’s father purchases it for resale. Stone’s reluctance to break the rules quickly turns into fascination when another foster kid enters the mix.
His name is Carter Phillips, and he has a story to tell. Pegged as a bad boy by his last foster family; Carter’s given one more chance, thanks to a smooth-talking social worker named Manny. If he can’t make it work with Sophie and the other kids, Carter has a one-way ticket to the detention home in Coalstone. What the others don’t know about Carter is that it's not his first time here in the great town of Foxtail, and his story begins where the urban legend ends.
