someone else's shoes
I loved this! Too bad it's fiction. I would hope this pt of view would influence some ideas about abortion but I am a realist, and sad for the fortune of pregnant women in the US

A real eye-opener touching on a variety of significant issues
This was written for a purpose other than entertainment and so might seem a little too obviously pointed at times. I come from a complicated point of view as a woman who believes in the right to an abortion, while genuinely believing that a child is being killed. I see that choice as a momentous decision not to be entered on lightly. So while I can see what a shocker the physical changes would be in the circumstances, I don’t consider discomforts a huge deal. Picoult goes well beyond that, so keep reading. If those involved in the decision-making process gave the issues presented the attention and consideration deserved, recognizing how different their views would be in changed circumstances Roe would not have been overturned. That willful blindness may not actually lead to male pregnancies, but any true Christian should be asking themselves how they will account to God for their lack of empathy and love.
