She adds those small details which humanize her characters, the cups of brew shared along with a haribo or two. Her crime scenes are as vivid as the assortment of folks visiting the A&E. She excels at making even the most mundane police procedural portions of her books feel important.
Can’t say enough good things about the voice actor reading this audiobook. She transports the listener to each and every scene. Her male voices are as distinct and believable as her female voices and the local dialect had me scratching my head and smiling at the same time. A perfect way to spend a few hours revisiting a favourite book.
