À propos de cet audio

My brother’s best friend is such a jerk.

An imposing, handsome jerk who doesn’t trust me. And now we’re roommates.

He wanders around the apartment in nothing but gray sweatpants, looking like a broody, tattooed muscle god, and playing music that shakes the walls. I want to hate him for treating me like an intruder, but there’s something about the way he looks at me—like he’s trying to figure me out—that keeps pulling me in.

Archer Holland is loyal, caring, and protective—with everyone except me.

Every time I move around our apartment, I can feel his glare. And the worst part? It only makes me want him more.

Not that it matters.

He’s my brother’s best friend—the one guy I can never have. But after a late-night rescue, we go from sharing a wall to sharing a bed.

I’m not sure what my brother would do if he found out, but it doesn’t matter because Archer says it can’t happen again.

That imposing, handsome jerk is about to find out I’m done playing by his rules.

This is the 3rd book in the Holland Brothers series, and I loved it!

Archer is Brogen’s (hero from Playbook) best friend and Sabrina is Brogen’s sister. Archer is very skeptical about Sabrina because he’s worried she’ll disappear out of Brogen’s life and hurt him. Sabrina is trying to get to know her brother as well as open a dance studio. When Sabrina ends up needing a place to stay, Brogen invites her to live with him, Archer, and London. Archer is just trying to focus on his football career after returning from an injury the season prior, but he slowly gets to know Sabrina and realizes she’s not as bad as he thinks. This has great disability rep as well, Archer is deaf and Sabrina has asthma.

I can’t wait for the last book in the series.

Another banger!

This series has been awesome. Book 3 did not disappoint. The story, the characters and the narrators were all amazing. The part where the kids perform, ❤️❤️

another banger from rebecca jenshak! This series has been so fun. I loved the deaf representation in this book! I loved how protective and loyal Archer is to Brogan causing him to be distrustful of Brogan's sister who has suddenly appeared in his life.

I also loved Archer finally having his deafness accommodated appropriately by his team and the people around him. It was so heartwarming!

I'm such a big fan of CJ Bloom. She absolutely nailed it... again.

This series is SO good

This is the second book I've listened to by this author. I bought it because I like the character development. The hero and heroine are lovable and interesting and the antagonist is downright aggravating. The spice is well written but there is very little of it in this book. I thought the last book was light on spice but this book has even less spice so it's disappointing. Yet, the characters are great and hold my attention. They're so lovable I want to see how their story unfolds. The book is low on angst and there is no immature soap opera drama between hero and heroine. However, since the book is also light on laugh out loud humour, it can seem a bit uneventful. It's a light listen. When a book is focused on the relational aspect, I'm much more enthralled if there is a much deeper emotional depth than what's presented in this book. Without it, along with the absence of mystery / spice / continuous laugh out loud moments, I'm left feeling a bit dull. On one hand the author does a great job. I guess I simply prefer a bit of grit, more intense humour mixed with a deeper emotional examination.
The narration is good.
