It needs a follow-up, preferably read by Wynonna
I guess, for me, knowing what was still to come in Wynonna's life made this book a bit frustrating. It was interesting and she revealed much, but I was waiting for the penny to drop about so much more. But how was she to know at the time what we know now? I give it four stars for her honest baring of her heart and soul but just couldn't shake the feeling that she was still not facing up to so much, especially re her mother, Naomi. I found some parts of the last chapter a bit preachy, but I liked the last sentence about her stepping into the light, both literally and figuratively. Wynonna comes across as a beautiful person who is willing to keep working on herself and her life. She is a beloved child of God.
Narration was very good, but I wish it had been Wynonna herself reading her life story. That would have made it truly intimate for me.

Authentic and Relatable
Listening to this made me feel like I was spending time with a friend. Real struggles, real victories. It is a story of resilience and hope. I recommend it.
