À propos de cet audio
The second and final book in the Luna Duet.... Full blurb to come.
©2023 Pepper Winters (P)2023 Pepper WintersCor Amare is book two in the Luna series. It is essential that you start at the beginning. Start with Lunamare. Get to know the characters. Follow along as these soulmates build an indestructible bond that gives them strength, encourages them, and guides them through devastating loss and circumstances. This is a two-book series that easily could have been turned into four or more. The author took pity upon her readers and only split it into two very long books that each held my attention for a week at a time. Even though it was un-put-downable, life happens, which actually lengthened my enjoyment, prolonged my anguish, and broke my romantic heart again, and again, and AGAIN!
The story is told in dual POV, with both hero and heroine telling their own version of the events. I not only read the books, but I listened along with the audible version and heard the voices of other main, players in this story. I truly believe my enjoyment was heightened, and my emotions were tested all the more by the voices of Tor Thom and Fiona Clare. They were pure perfection with their accents and with the changes of voices for each character to help the listener discern who was speaking. Their retelling of the tragic and traumatic events was heart-wrenching. I could feel the happiness in all the beautiful events, too. I especially loved that this narration had all the female parts read by Fiona Clare, and all the male characters were done by Tor Thom. Many books have the narrator perform the whole chapter, doing their very best to read in the other gender when necessary, and I much prefer listening to each gender in their own voice.
I came out of this book feeling a sense of awe at a love so intense that it spanned many decades, separation, and even death. Any of us would be lucky to experience and find love like the one shared by Aslan and Neri. I’m not sure any of us would be as strong and faithful to see it through to the end, to make the necessary choices. The fact that Neri never gave up hope and Aslan kept drawing on his beloved for strength gave me the courage to continue reading when I was lost to depression and tears filled my eyes. As a lover of all the words Pepper Winters puts to paper, I should not have been surprised that she tore my heart to shreds but also found a way to mend it. I hope you’ll embark on your own journey and read all about Neri and her very protective lion, Aslan. It is not all sunshine and rainbows, but it is worth every tear and all the anguish.
