Keeping the peace among the Courts and containing Lucifer’s growing power is my top priority. But I never expected to meet my soul’s mate, and now that I have it’s all I can do to retain control of my instinct to breed.

I can’t afford to let anyone know Amelia is my weakness. But the Veil is cracking, and so is my resolve. When Lucifer takes her hostage, I may have to compromise every last one of my virtues to save her and keep the Courts from falling under Lucifer’s control.

The Veil Collapses! Lucifer’s pleasure palace beacons!

I’ve said it before in other reviews, but Age of angels is one of the few stories that treats the Archangels as TRULY POWERFUL and DANGEROUS BEINGS. Gabriel is no different, his power is more subtle but he can manipulate your emotions and control your thoughts on a large scale, the downside is he is literally addictive so he must be careful. He is also incredibly sexy. He is also the only Archangel capable of shoring up the volatile wants and emotions of all the humans who are so vulnerable to Lucifer corruption. We finally see the true nature of the veil, which is a Vegas style realm of hedonism and debauchery intended to lure humans to their doom
