Much of this book was no more than a list of famous designers, wonderful food, flashy transportation, and unreal sums of money. Themes of classism, education, sons vs daughters, were there but the story, while extremely straightforward had no unusual twists. The author could not even come up with a unique solution to generation old problems. All that being said I did not want to stop reading. It seemed to catch you in a fantasy world.

I read this in anticipation of the film and it felt like a light beach read but I found the author spent a lot of time on listing or describing luxury brands/items and spent less time on developing the myriad of characters. I mainly cared for like 5 characters at most and waited for their narrative to come back in focus whenever the book would go on a tangent.

Great for the beach or light summer reading.

CRA ended up being way more fun and engrossing then i had anticipated.

Everyone should get this book and the whole series.

What a delight. I thought I'd get lost in all the names and culture but found it to be easy and fun to get caught up in the character and atmosphere of the book. I could have listened to this book if it was twice as long. Recommend.
