A fun prequel to listen to after the rest of the series. the prequel is well structured and puts an emphasis on the points where Geralt still has room to grow as a person and witcher

An interesting and thrilling story of the events that shaped a young Geralt

While this is not my least favourite Witcher book, it’s close. I didn’t find it memorable. It provides a little background on why Geralt is such a good fighter, and nothing else. In my opinion, the story was meh. While listening to it, I remember thinking, I could be listening to the short stories again, that would be better than this.

The best part, as usual, was Peter Kenny’s amazing narration.
