Mara and Delfino have always argued over which one of them would take over the family business, which is understandable considering they are twin merfolk and the family business is ruling the underwater kingdom of Capfici. Sadly, they’ve never fully understood what that responsibility would mean, even though their father, King Tiburon, has told them the story of the Terra Aqua War many times.
One hundred years ago, when the humans attacked with their machines, the merfolk were only able to defeat them by channeling all the ocean’s magic into five talismans given to the five most powerful merfolk among them, one of whom was Tiburon. Together, the five leaders created a barrier between land and sea that ended the war and ushered in a long era of peace…until today.
When a rogue mermaid takes down the protective barrier and humans capture their parents, Mara and Delfino must decide whether to flee or fight back and restore order before it's too late.
