The Netherworld: it is a hellish landscape inhabited only by demons, creatures born from the dark abyss. It is also the only world Salvos knows.

After all, the law of evolution is survival of the fittest, and Salvos is a survivor. And perhaps, eventually, she will leave this world behind for a better place. But is that what she even wants?

Salvos is a monster evolution litRPG series that follows the adventures of a Demon girl. It is set inside a game-like world with classes and levels, but it is not inside the world of a video game.

At the end of a New Genisis, the last thing created was a Salvos. with the ability to understand all languages and a drive to learn more about everything, Salvos must survive the Demon Hoards and become complete by reaching her max level. Hell is a dangerous place and the demons are all jerks. I got a great feeling while listening to the story, it drew me in as a fantasy lover but there is no romance in the book. the whole story-driven plot runs smoothly along with the storyline and character building.
it was so good that I tried to buy the next volume on amazon. I can't wait for the next one to come out Salvos' journey has only just begun.

Great story, where we get to see the development of Salvos from demon larvae to a greater demon. Very easy listening with humor and straight-forward progression. Tess Irondale does a great job with the performance. I hope the next books in the series continue this!

Ive listened to a couple monster evolution stories but theyre usually a human being reborn as said monster so this was a different take since she was a Demon from birth and doesnt have the human POV a lot of MCs have at the start of their journey. I really liked the characters and the start was engaging with how she was learning about how things were in a realistic way.
narrator did a great job also, would listen to their other work.

Story:
MC starts out as a kid. Usually I don't like immature characters, but to my surprise, it's not too bad here - context makes sense and MC doesn't spend too much time in her own head and was not squeamish. The fight scenes are done pretty well too.

Performance:
