À propos de cet audio
When Erin Delaney learns that a serial killer has mimicked the murder portrayed in her bestselling novel, her career as an author takes a detrimental turn. She joins her friend Kaely Quinn-Hunter, a former FBI profiler, to help identify a suspect, but the team is stumped, and Kaely fears for Erin's safety as they work to dismantle a web of fear and chaos.
On top of tracking down a murderer, Erin must shoulder the weight of a haunted past and the claims that she stole the plot of her novel from one of her sources. But as the enemy looms closer than ever, Erin's life hangs in the balance.
Bestselling author Nancy Mehl threads a plot of danger and threats with heart-drumming suspense in book two of The Erin Delaney Mysteries.

This series is so good. I liked this one even a bit more than book one.
If Erin has not been through enough, here comes trouble again! Erin is called to go and stay with her friend Kaely, and her husband, for her own safety. Of course, a chance to revisit those characters from a past series is a big plus. Erin has a woman accusing her of stealing her book ideas on one hand. On the other, there is a person called the “Novel Killer” who has patterned a murder after Erin’s first suspense novel.
Erin has gone through a lot in recent years and she naturally feels overwhelmed and afraid with these two new threats. Kaely continues to share her faith since Erin has come very close to making a decision to accept Christ.
The author makes you work to follow the clues, twists, and turns. What I appreciate is that there is a good balance between the high drama and suspense with the quiet moments of conversation and every day life. Though here are surprises and such, the author doesn’t need to bend over backward to lead the reader down a path and then pull the rug over and over. It just flows and it makes sense. She keeps you guessing. I did figure out some of it but wasn’t sure until it was revealed.
The writing is intelligent and not manipulative. This novel kept me engaged from start to finish. The audiobook narrator was good but not great. The ending was really strong.
