À propos de cet audio

For the crew of the Keiko, their stay at the Grand House casino on New Samara was supposed to be a well-deserved rest. It didn't last.

Captain Ichabod Drift promised that the side trip to the mining planet Uragan would be a quick in and out - a data retrieval job then back to the tables. He was wrong.

When the revolution comes, all you can do is choose a side and hope to get out alive.

Ce que les critiques en disent

"Great fun.... Golden Age chic!" (Stephen Baxter)
" Dark Run is a thrill-ride of non-stop action, wise-crackery and adventure in the vast vaults of outer space. I look forward to revisiting Ichabod Drift and the crew of the Keiko time and again...." (Luke Scull)

The Keiko crew gets into more trouble. A job offer to Captain Ichabod looks easy and able to solve all his problems. Complications arise, trouble ensues, and the crew gets stuck on a mining planet in the middle of a revolution having to fight and talk their way back to their ship in one piece all while also dealing with an old adversary of the Captain.
The narration feels high level; Damian Lynch delivers male and female distinct voices in varying accents and it all works and feels believable.
The writing style is smooth and easy to get into. It's fast paced with lots of action. I appreciate how well the author is able to deliver sincere character moments in the midst of it all. These people all have interesting troubled pasts and that whole "Firefly" vibe of them supporting each other as a crew works quite well. They're enjoyable to spend time with. If you liked the first book this one expands on it nicely and is worth continuing on to.

a well built sequel
