À propos de cet audio

Kelly Frank is EarthCent's top diplomat on Union Station, but her job description has always been a bit vague. The pay is horrible and she's in hock up to her ears for her furniture, which is likely to end up in a corridor because she's behind on rent for her room. Sometimes she has to wonder if the career she has put ahead of her personal life for 15 years is worth it.

When Kelly receives a gift subscription to the dating service that's rumored to be powered by the same benevolent artificial intelligence that runs the huge station, she decides to swallow her pride and give it a shot. But as her dates go from bad to worse, she can only hope that the supposedly omniscient AI is planning a happy ending.

If you're looking for a light scifi audiobook with humour and soapy dating drama, this is your book. There isn't a whole lot of plot, though the world building is pretty reasonable. The reading is excellent. Also a major plus for me, the female protagonist is not a YA heroine - she doesn't suffer from a bottomless pit of self loathing or self doubt, and though the plot of the book is in large part her looking for a successful date, many other amusing things happened along the way that gave me some laughs. In another mood, I might have given this a 5, but I've tended to be a bit more stingy with those as do late, to distinguish between books I enjoy, versus books I really love. It doesn't quite make the latter, but I enjoyed myself nonetheless.

Fun, soapy sci-fi
