It took me way too long to realize the love interest in the story because the voice actor chose a really young and innocent voice for the FMC and a super old cranky voice for MMC. . . Sort of felt like a child and an old man which was. . . Off putting. Also there is a lot of background noise, like her stomach making noises or taking big breaths. Not the best quality, made it hard to listen to even though the actual story was really good.

Storyline was excellent- very entrancing! Voice actors were perfect for the story as well and matched the character descriptions quite accurately I found.

The story itself was okay, I enjoyed it. The female narrator was okay as well but the male made me want to DNF it. He doesn’t come in until much later in the book (luckily) and his voice itself is fine but the constant loud breaths in front of every sentence drove me nuts. This is one I feel I would have liked far better if I had physically read it

As many have stated, the narration isn’t great. Too high pitched at points from the female narrator and the male was taking big gasping breaths that were distracting! I struggled to get into the story because of it but I powered through and was glad I did! I really enjoyed the story, kind of gives Throne of Glass vibes and that’s one of my favourite series ever!

Original, well written, well thought out, and for the most part well performed. The male actor takes a little getting used to so minus one star for that.

Incredible series. Has ruined all other books for me. Nothing comes close.
