the writer did well mixing facts with fiction. by the 3rd book I cared about Selene. I could picture the things described. I actually got emotional at the end. the first book I was annoyed by the narrator but got used to it and im glad. This was a richly described historically accurate, for the most part, series that I enjoyed.

Performances are very good. Although I was very excited about the story and invested in listening to the books in the beginning, I found myself not really caring about the outcome partway through book 2. The story itself is overly dramatic, rather navel-gazing, and somewhat repetitive.
