another win with the Halsey family
the new narrator for the series and he did a great job. so nice to see you where the Halsey family has come and to help them navigate the highs and lows of their new community and family history. highly recommend. can't wait for the next one!

Incredible story and voice create a riveting audio experience...
Lucinda has once again crafted an intricate tale full of chilling intrigue and page-turning developments set in her always well-researched Georgian era.
I will still be reading the book on its own but added to the experience of certain chapters with the help of this *stellar* audiobook. For anyone who has reservations about listening to it due to there being a new narrator, please get rid of them post-haste! He is a truly worthy replacement, and while respecting the legacy of the former narrator, I would love to see what he can do with the Roxton series!! (But I digress...)
I usually have different voices in my heads for each character in any novel I read. To say that they fall short of Matthew Lloyd Davies' rendition is the highest compliment I can think of. There is a quality of empathy for the characters and a great sense for the situations they find themselves in that permeates every word of the story he utters. An excellent delivery, and everything I hoped for and more.
I look forward to listening to future Brant/Davies audiobook collaborations!
