And in a place where no one locks their doors, a series of thefts and the disappearance of two young serving girls demands explanation....

Overall, decently written with a bit of a twisty end. Set in the early 1800's when men ruled the roost and the women stayed quiet. Well written to portray the time period but makes me glad to be living in today's world. But a good story none the less. Not really keen on the narrator but not the worst I've listen to. Would recommend. Solid 4 / 5 stars.
