Akal was founded in 1979 by Gurutej Singh Khalsa, a Sikh brother and minister. He was also a certified law enforcement officer through the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, graduating valedictorian in his class. because as a Sikh he kept his full beard and wore a turban over his long uncut hair. Together with Mick, they created a legacy in security services of honor, strength, discipline and dedication to duty that is unmatched in the world of private security.
