À propos de cet audio
Portions of this audiobook contain mature language. Listener discretion is advised.
The My Fair Lady story gets a thoroughly modern, thoroughly invigorating update in this unsparing (and hilarious) look at America’s capitalist tech culture. Eli is a tough young woman who makes paper flowers on Venice Beach, where she lives in a homeless tent camp. A chance encounter with a smug tech CEO, Hig, sparks an intriguing quid pro quo: she brings him an image-burnishing entrepreneurial offer, and he, in turn, hires her to present GAL - his new artificial intelligence service - at an upcoming conference. The clash of cultures results in a surprisingly insightful exploration of the shady side of AI, sexism in the tech world, economic disparity, and the human cost of relentless progress.
Directed by Rachel Chavkin.

Really enjoyable and quick!

How about if you add in an awareness of a social conscience?
You get a memorable audaciously humorous but oddly familiar play with a modern twist and a social commentary on “things that are.”
Something I believe truer to George Bernard Shaw’s actual vision than “My Fair Lady” was to “Pigmalion”
And How does a Nobel Prize AND an Oscar Academy Award get won for a play anyway??? (George Bernard Shaw 1925 and 1938)
“DEEP FAKE” is not so much sci-fi (because we are getting there!) as it is both humorous and tugs at the heart. It’s put on an Audible Stage with great voice actors.
Don’t let this review fool you - it runs a mere 1 hour 40 minutes!
While Shaw gets name dropped a few times and there’s plenty of true mogul tales….
Riddle me this: “who teaches who?”
And could someone count how many times the term “guttersnipe” is used?
I recommend the “Deep Fake” radio play - for it is more than a mere audiobook- it’s currently free content on Audible and is just a benefit of membership- no credits.
More like George Bernard Shawn’s Pigmalion Than “My Fair Lady”
