À propos de cet audio
The first book of an epic progression fantasy series inspired by Scandinavian folklore, The Witcher, and Dungeons & Dragons, where a young man named Hallik has been training his whole life to become a magic-wielder, or Grimnir, to keep his island safe. But when monsters breach the shield protecting his realm, Hallik must venture into the mystical cave of Vanalf to hone his skills to protect everything he holds dear.
Hallik has been training his whole life to become a Grimnir, a magic-wielder who can aid in keeping their island safe from the monster hordes outside the shield protecting them. Hundreds of years ago, Grimnirs created a shield around their island. Hallik has waited his whole life to become one of the elite Grimnir who can keep their enemies at bay.
But when monsters start showing up on the island, it appears they aren’t as safe as they thought. They’ll need more Grimnirs to ensure their safety, but to become a magic-wielder, they’ll need to traverse the depths of Vanalf, a cave system that connects the realms, making it the most dangerous place imaginable. Fortunately, there’s one ragtag crew that’s up to the task.
An epic progression fantasy inspired by Scandinavian folklore, The Witcher, and Dungeons & Dragons, The Depths of Vanalf is the first in an epic series that will leave you spellbound.

Love the story, some issues with the narration.
Really enjoyed the story and setting so far, I still have 4 hours left. My issue is with some of the readers, though it’s a personal opinion that will undoubtedly differ to others. I find Halliks reader to be monotoned and the cadence and pauses to be distracting. The female reader is also distracting to me personally, with odd wispy emphasis on the end of most words. Again that’s going to be a person to person issue, the story and setting are still worth it in my opinion. Overall great book, looking forward to more though I’ll likely buy paperback copy in the future.

Was hoping for Rowe, got Sanderson
5 stars because it’s not for me, but I’m sure it’s great for someone else. Nothing WRONG with it, but it’s slow. Even combat seems to have the enthusiasm of describing a staircase.
I like my fantasy spunky. This was like the slow bits of a Sanderson epic, but with dashes of Nordic themes. Again, I’m sure others would love it. To me, it just sounds like gibberish. Apparently there are multiple narrators, but im pretty sure I only really noticed two. Cool premise, though.
