Now THAT was an excellent read. Stunning performance by Avery Wilde as well, who is now in a name I will remember and hope to hear again.

Even bettter than the first one

This book has a great storyline. I've listened to all of Cora Rosa's books available on Audible. She never disappoints, love her books. Combining her talent with Lark's is excellent. Cora's books always have great storylines, good character development, lots of yummy spice, hilarious dialog that will make you laugh out loud and heartwarming moments that will make you tear up or outright cry. Typically, once I start one of her books I cannot put it down and sometimes lose sleep to finish. However, the wrong narrator was chosen for this book. o'm not saying he's a terrible narrator. He's just not the irght fit for this book. I might have been able to accept him as Hansel (maybe), but not Cade. His voice is too hoity-toity, didn't hit the tone for the comical parts and was not masculine / bad-ass enough to do justice to Cade's character. This book should have either had 2 narrators (POV or Duet) or a different narrator completely.
