I actually love the book but I object to the marketing aspect. It tells only half the story on audible plus and leaves you to purchase the other half. If I actually had to purchase the first book, I’d be very unsatisfied.

The writing is fairly smooth & the narration decent. However, the soap opera-ish part of the book is the focal point. This, unfortunately, is not my preference with books especially considering I'm not a fan of love triangles especially involving siblings. The characters show little growth and just seem overly unaware due to the lack of honesty etc. The mystery aspect has promise but then ended up not really being much of a mystery so the last half of the book just seems overly long. Again, I think this story has promise and the author has talent but I just don't think it was realized in this book duet.
