À propos de cet audio
My name is Thomas, and like the apostle I was named after, I have had my share of doubts. But I have also had a deep longing—a longing for unity among believers in Christ. I grew up Roman Catholic, went to Mass weekly, memorized catechism answers, and felt a deep respect for tradition. But when I married a Protestant woman and began attending her church too, a flood of questions washed over me. Why were we so divided when we professed the same creeds? Why did we debate communion, baptism, saints, and Scripture as if they were walls between us rather than shared treasures?
This book is not a theological treatise. It is a personal reflection. A search. A heartache. A hope that perhaps—just perhaps—the common ground we already share might be enough to start healing the divide.
Each chapter explores a topic in which Protestants and Catholics often part ways. But instead of choosing a side, I have tried to ask honest questions I have wrestled with myself and reflect on what both traditions might offer in pursuit of truth, grace, and unity.
