Entertaining, but pretty hard to believe. Had it's good moments, but became rather silly half way through.

Bit of a stretch!

I thought this was a pretty typical mystery off the bat. But as the story progressed, I began to get more invested. And by halfway through, some of the pieces were starting to weave together in a way I never expected. This book ended up being much better than I predicted at the beginning.

I love that this book had two narratives, and switched between voice actors. It seemed a bit misleading to me, there was a lot of fleshing out a character at the start, but then the speed picked up and the book wasn't as content heavy as you'd think based on the first few chapters. Interesting twists I didn't see coming at first. I just found there was so much build up and then the climax of the story and resolution only took 30 minutes. Like the author just wrote themselves into a corner and needed to wrap things up as quickly as possible. Ending felt too tidy and rushed. It was good but not as satisfying as I would of hoped. There was one final twist that was sort of rushed through, but was a damn smart idea,

I was a little concerned I would find the narrators accent distracting however that was not the case. The story line was a surprise, it had a lot of twists and turns and kept my attention. I will re listen, which is how I know I enjoyed it. #Audible1

I rather enjoyed this book. At first I was not to sure but then I got right into it! This book was nice to listen to as the narrator did a good job and the twist that you dont expect are great. I usually can guess who the killer is but not in this one! Good with description without over doing it. This book is well done! Glad I bought it before I read the other reviews which I dont agree with. Yes it says a bit about something sad with an animal but its not long and I have heard a lot worst things in other books. Enjoy!

The interrogation process was tedious with the narrator going back and forth. That section of the story almost had me delete the book

There were tough moments of graphic content but the characters were well crafted and the plot moved along well.

I found the first half of this book difficult to get through and repetitive - almost gave up on it a couple times (it wasn’t badly written, just slow). I enjoyed it more as it got to the middle and ending, despite the premise being very far-fetched. Overall it was pretty good! Probably worth a credit for you.
