À propos de cet audio

There has been much said about Dusty Rhodes, the 'American Dream', over the years by both his fans and peers. Aside from the frequent fictional prose penned by wrestling magazine journalists and internet smart marks that run rumor-mill websites, however, there has not been much written about him. Until now.

With the exception of a select few, there has been no bigger name or personality in the annals of pro wrestling history than Dusty Rhodes. Of those few, none of them can claim the compelling back story Rhodes shares in Dusty: Reflections of an American Dream of an industry plagued with political loyalties and disloyalties, greedy promoters, manipulative bookers, destructive personalities, multi-millionaires, and great leaders. Behind the "million-dollar smile" and the million dollar gate receipts is a man with a story to tell - not just of tall tales, yarns, and fabrications, but of a life filled with aspirations, dreams, disappointments, challenges, controversies, angst, conflict, success, and reflection.

Dusty: Reflections of an American Dream is the story of a transformation from mediocrity to superstardom. It is the story of how the boy Virgil Runnels Jr. became the man Dusty Rhodes and truly lived the 'American Dream'. This is his story.

This is a well written and enjoyable book. The reader however mispronounced so many names it does take away from the reading. Perhaps some research before reading would be better.

Love Dusty

while the grizzled cowboy feel suits Dusty Rhodes' life story, the repeated mispronounced names of well known wrestling names really took you out of the story

good story bad narration

I cannot overstate how long I have waited to hear Dusty stories from his own perspective. The book delivers and gives us true insight from one of wrestling's greatest legends ever. Great read, sometimes rushed, but always interesting. The only thing that would have made it even better is if Dusty himself could have read it!

A mythical figure tells it all

I love hearing about Bob Bucklind,Bruno Sammontito,Eric BitchKoff, and Albert Hishcoff, the director of Psycho. The idiotic fake texas Drawl of this narrator, who on more than one occasion straight up rearranged the spelling of any English language word greater than 6 letters

narrator was borderline illiterate

Weak Story! Leaving out all of the great highlights of his Career Followed with the MOST ANNOYING IRRITATING NARRATOR IVE EVER HEARD! Talking with awful Cowboy accent mispronouncing Names and places and talking like a moron! I guess Dusty isn't much of a writer

MOST ANNOYING NARRATER EVER!
