I love this series so much that I’ve read it multiple times which is incredibly rare for me. I usually only revisit what I consider the absolute best, and this one easily makes that list.
Arthur Stone’s writing is clever, engaging, and consistently keeps you rooting for the underdog. The progression feels earned, the challenges feel real, and the payoff is always satisfying. It’s the kind of series that hooks you early and just keeps getting better.
It’s also a great value now that books 1–3 are bundled together. My only complaint is that I bought them individually before that bundle existed—but honestly, every single one was worth the credit.
If you enjoy LitRPG series like He Who Fights with Monsters, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Defiance of the Fall, The Primal Hunter, or Awaken Online, then you absolutely need to try this series. In my opinion, you might even find yourself more impressed by this one.
This is a must read if you’re into LitRPG—especially if you appreciate strong, underdog stories, and a series that actually improves as it goes.
