Description
Valeria’s mother left at a very young age, leaving her grandmother to raise her. As the years go on, Valeria’s few memories of her mother begin to fade away. She always wondered how anyone could up and leave her own child.
As Valeria grows older, she wants nothing more than to look her mother in the eyes. She hesitantly makes the request to her grandmother about contacting her mother. This causes turmoil in the once calm household. The mere mention of her mother creates such storms that could rip an entire town apart.
Then one day, after a visit to the forbidden attic, Valeria finds some of her mother’s journals. That’s when family secrets start to unravel. What is her grandmother hiding? Why is talking about her mother forbidden? Where has her mother been all this time?
Seeking answers from those around her leaves Valeria with more questions. The search for her mother drags her down a dark and twisted path of lies, deceit, and unimaginable horrors. Sometimes not knowing hurts less than the truth. You never know who people really are. Even blood.
