Description

How Victorians really lived

Interesting slice of life of several great Victorians. Particularly helpful for capturing the details of life as it would have been lived by men, and, more especially, women of some means. Childbirth, property, sense of purpose, obligations, legal position duty, cuisine and habits. It is all in this story. The details are helpful and the author is a very compassionate interpreter of the lives of these great folks.
