When Elaine Lapp’s parents decide to move to Pennsylvania, Elaine is given an ultimatum: Find a husband, or move with them. At 25 years old, Elaine is more than ready to start a life of her own, even though she struggles with her physical limitations. However, after moving in with his onkel Isaiah, he realizes the practicality of marriage is exactly what his four-year-old daughter, Pammy, needs.
