Fantastic series. Read all 7 like 20 years ago. I was extremely pleased to see them as audiobooks. They are just as fun to listen to.

Any author can surprise a reader, but it takes a great author to surprise a reader and make the story more interesting as a result, I'm paraphrasing someone who's paraphrasing someone else but the point stands. The surprise in this book made me want to listen to the next entry in the series right away. great fun!

While this book doesn't focus on the main characters as much, the world-building and story definitely should not be missed.

This book I have owned and read may many times over the years and enjoyed it. While I would argue that it is the weakest in the whole seven book series that may be due to the fact that it has a lot more story to tell in a future book and thus feels a touch unfinished.

The narrator drove me bananas listening to this though as they used a German pronunciation of the word titan saying it as tee-taan instead of the English variation that I'm used said as tie-tan. The word is from Greek mythology and I've only heard that odd pronunciation a couple times in my life and for some reason it really grated on my nerves. Also the narrator is still quite flat with the different character voices getting me confused a bit with characters from the first audio-book (Dragonwing) book in the series where he used the same voices for other cast that I know will be in later books together.

Still the story is strong and sets up really interesting things to come in future books to look forward to.
