Skips an entire character introduction
So at first I loved it but then there is this part in chapter four where it says, “I went to bed early tonight so I could get a few hours sleep before meeting Shona” Which would make sense right? But the thing is… we’ve never met a character named Shona! It keeps on going on about things like, “I got there first this time” like there was another time! Then another mermaid “Shona” appears and takes them to, “The place they first met” As if they’ve met before but they haven’t. How did they manage to miss an entire character introduction? And it can’t be a mysterious character that were meeting now and it’s supposed to be like that because Shona is also a mermaid and Emily hasn’t met Shona before discovering she is a mermaid. She should be shocked to find another mermaid but she’s acting like this is all normal. So confusing. I even listened to it on other devices to make sure it wasn’t a glitch and I got the same result. But up till that the story was great and I loved the narration so if you can get through the whole casual skipping a character intro its pretty good.
