This is the first book in the series that I did not have to skip through whole chapters. Eden is still a spoiled and stubborn and whiny Mary Sue at times, but much less so. She has shown much growth (finally!), which just makes the whole read much more enjoyable as we don't have to endure pages and pages of her indecision and whining. It's a substantial improvement since the book is written from her perspective.

Such a well written series with complex characters and a story line that continues on through all the books. Every book in this series was captivating. Wish there were more to read!! Buy it - you won't regret it if you love adventure and fantasy!

If you loved this you'll for sure want to read the Throne of Glass series by Sarah Maas!

This is already the 4th book, so if you even see this review you're already well invested in this story.. but I must say..

Her obliviousness, denial and stubbornness is quite infuriating!! Aside from that, the way she (through no fault of her own) is constantly being yanked in different directions is disorienting. It confuses her mind and heart, and my heart isn't liking it very much, either.

I really appreciate everything, narrator and story, I have been captive through the books , sometimes a little bit too much teenagers to my taste but good

I absolutely LOVED this series. Fantastic characters and story. Definitely worth the read. I'll be looking for more books from this author.
